Communications Office

The Communications Office is part of the University Corporate Offices and supports the Executive Board, the faculties and the service departments in developing and implementing policy concerning the university's communications and education marketing.

The Communications Office combines strategy, policy and implementation. It supervises the university's communications and marketing policy, periodically updates it in close cooperation with the faculties, and develops new initiatives at university and faculty level.

The management is organised along four clusters representing different result areas. The clusters are:

  • Content & Digital: for a consistent, positive brand perception and user experience for everyone who comes into contact with Utrecht University;
  • Corporate Communications: for strengthening UU's (international) reputation in the field of education and research and for strengthening a resilient and innovative community;
  • Relationship Management and University Fund (Ufonds): for strategic relationship management, alumni policy and fundraising;
  • Student recruitment & information: for sustainable targeted and personalised student recruitment.
