Our Emergency Response Organisation

Utrecht University employs around 1200 in-house emergency response workers. Thanks to their efforts, we can be confident that we can work and study safely on the campus. Our first aiders do this in addition to their daily work.

The faces behind the ER

But who exactly are these Emergency Response Officers? You can see that in the video above. Three Emergency Response Officers tell what the reason was for them for them to become an ER and what this does to them. As an Emergency Response Officer you learn exactly what to do during an incident and what not to do. Jan Kerkhof states: "It did not scare me. On the contrary, it has made me wiser.” Something to be proud of.
