Beating heart of Utrecht’s knowledge-based economy

Utrecht University maintains close ties with the city and province of Utrecht. Utrecht University, the University Medical Center Utrecht and dozens of innovative businesses and research institutes have pooled their resources at the Utrecht Science Park. This has turned the Utrecht Science Park (USP) into the beating heart of Utrecht’s knowledge-based economy.

Acclaimed research institutions, such as TNO, Deltares, the Hubrecht Institute and the SRON space research institute are based in Utrecht Science Park.

It is also home to over sixty research and development companies. More than half of these focus on the Life Sciences, including Merus Biopharmaceuticals, Genmab and Danone.
