Ethical review research Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science is committed to make ethically responsible choices in research.
Studies involving humans or personal data are therefore submitted to an independent ethical review committee for approval. For research proposals that are not subject to the Medical Research (Human Subject) Act, the committee evaluates the provision of information to the persons participating in the study, the burden imposed on the participants, and the care with which personal data are collected and stored.
Science-Geo Ethics Review Board
The Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Geosciences work together in one ethics review board. The board’s review standards are derived from codes of (professional) conduct and applicable legislation and regulations. The board includes members from both faculties, and reviews research conducted under the responsibility of these faculties.
