Visiting non exchange students

Visiting non exchange students

Visiting non exchange students are non-degree seeking students from recognized EU/EEA or Non-EU/EEA universities, who visit Utrecht University without an exchange programme. You are most welcome at the Faculty of Science and can take courses or do research the same way that exchange students can, as long as your home institution is a recognized university. Be aware, that in most circumstances tuition fees are due and you will have to organize more details yourself (accommodation). Please note that we do not accommodate students who will need a visa.

We offer the possibility to come one full semester (i.e. 5 months) or take a few Bachelor’s or Master’s courses, without their enrolment being subject to a reciprocal exchange agreement with a partner institution. Participation in a masters research project is also possible. You will not receive a diploma, but will receive a Transcript of Records.

Financial agreement

You have to sign an agreement that you will fulfill your financial obligations. The tuition fee is 1075 euro per master course of 7.5 EC, and 875 euro per bachelor course of 7.5 EC. After having paid the course(s) you will be registered for the course(s). We need to know in advance which courses you wish to take, so that we can check the availability of places in the course(s). If you are allowed to participate in a master’s research project of 30 EC, the price of such a research is 4 times €1075.
