Fundamental knowledge, with a connection to society
The Faculty of Science sets great store by having a connection with society. In the area of education, this means that our students acquire both scientific knowledge and skills and are prepared for the changing demand on the labour market. Research of the Faculty of Science is clustered in themes relevant to society and founded on a fundamental basis. This enables researchers to work on solutions to complex social problems in the area of sustainability and health. We believe that even the most fundamental research of our Faculty is, either directly or indirectly, a driving force behind the changes in the future.
