Custom advice
Teachers who want to improve or renew their teaching can receive didactic and practical support from the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning (CAT). Custom advice can, for instance, be a consultation on the use of tools or a question aimed at educational innovation, but also a contribution to a teaching or team day or filling an informative session.
For such a contribution, you could think of guiding the Blended Learning Game, in which you work with fellow teachers on the blended design of your teaching, or filling a session focused on, for example, interactive workspaces, Generative AI, Game Based Learning, Extended Reality, activating teaching, knowledge clips and more. For every education-related question, we have in-house education consultants who can help you and your fellow teachers on their way.
In addition, the CAT works closely together with Educational Development & Training (O&T). Teachers at Utrecht University can request a professional consultation from O&T for questions such as:
- Which testing format is suitable for my (online) course?
- How can I more efficiently give feedback on student texts?
- Is this a quality exam and how can I improve it?
- How can I make my lecture series more appealing to students?
