Become a Friend

The world's biodiversity is declining at breakneck speed. If we do nothing, more and more plant species will disappear. That's why at Utrecht Botanic Gardens we explore the fascinating world of plants and share our knowledge with a wide audience. Together can we stop the loss of biodiversity in our world. As a Friend of the Botanical Gardens, you contribute to important projects on nature education and biodiversity in the Gardens. Help too! Friends always have free admission.

As a Friend of the Botanical Gardens, you will receive a Friends Pass. This gives you free access to the Gardens. There are two types of Friendship:

• Personal Friend Plus | € 50,- per year | free entry for two people
• Personal Friend | € 35,- per year | free entry for one person

We also organise activities exclusively for Friends and at some selected activities in the Gardens, Friends get a discount or something extra.

Give a Friendship as a gift

You can also give a Friendship to someone as a gift. The Friendship starts at the time of closing and runs until the end of the current calendar year. A Friendship that you give as a gift is not automatically renewed. Do you give a Friendship as a gift after 1 September? Then your Friendship is valid until 31 December of the following year.

Duration Friendschip

Your Friendship starts when you become a Friend and lasts until the end of the respective calendar year. After that, your Friendship is automatically renewed for another calendar year on 31 December. You can cancel until 31 December. Do you become a Friend after 1 September? Then you only pay in January and your Friendship is valid until 31 December of the following year.
