NUDGIS
The NUDGIS research program examines the effectiveness of nudges, defined as subtle rearrangements of the choice context, to gently suggest healthier food choices by taking advantage of previous priming research to influence healthier choices in such a way that they do not rely on effortful decision making. The program will result in the formulation of rules to design effective nudges that help to make the healthy choice the easy choice.
The project is lead by health psychologist professor Denise de Ridder in cooperation with researchers from Wageningen UR and the companies Unilever and FrieslandCampina.
