Consultation researchers

Researchers and PhD candidates
M&S consultation is intended for researchers who have completed a university degree programme with several courses in methods and statistics. We recommend that PhD candidates and their supervisors arrange an appointment at an early stage in the PhD project for advice on the project plan and suggestions for relevant post-doctoral courses in methods and statistics.
When formulating grant applications (with NWO or contract funding), it can prove useful to involve an M&S adviser and include them in the application. If the M&S adviser devotes a lot of time to the research, it is sensible to include payment for that in the budget.
Researchers and PhD candidates can come along with any questions to the consultation store (view the timetable external link). They can also e-mail brief questions to the consultation coordinator, at m.moerbeek@uu.nl. The coordinator will then find an adviser who has the necessary knowledge and skills.
Due to the closure of the university buildings, the consultation shop is closed until further notice. However, the Methods and Statistics department is willing to provide consultation remotely. PhD students and staff can contact Mirjam Moerbeek.
Consultation charges
