Early Exit Options
Most Faculties offer courses in block 2 that have an "early exit" option (= finish before Christmas). This is only possible for students who need to return to their home institution for the second semester in January. In most cases less than 7.5 ECTS are awarded.
Please keep in mind: If you want to make use of the early exit option, please contact the International Office of your faculty.
Housing through Reserved Accommodation Programme can only be rented for a full semester and reimbursement due to an early exit is not possible.
The level of each course is indicated in the course description.
- Level 1: Bachelor Introductory (broad introduction to the subject)
- Level 2: Bachelor Elaborating (exploring aspects of the subject, current debates, specific methods and techniques)
- Level 3: Bachelor Advanced (integration/synthesis, formation of theories based on research results)
- Level M: Master level (only accessible for Master's students with approval from the course coordinator)
Please note: course levels at Utrecht University show a student's knowledge and skills for a subject, not years studied.
