Practical information

We welcome you between 10am and 5.30pm on campus.

You can create a personalized programme based on your interests. A complete overview can be found on the session selection page within the registration form.

Check where to go

Utrecht University has three campuses (pdf): Utrecht Science Park, City Centre and International Campus. Your booking information (available after registration) will indicate where you need to go. Please allow for travel time between activities and plan your visit in advance.

Leave the car at home

Parking spaces near the university buildings are limited and may involve high costs, and you might need to walk a considerable distance.

Travel by public transport!

We recommend to travel by public transport as much as possible. If you travel by train, plan your journey in the NS travel planner before departure.

Travel by tram or bus in Utrecht

Trams run between Utrecht Science Park, International Campus, Bijlhouwerstraat and Utrecht Central Station. The fastest way to reach the City Centre is by bus. Check 9292 for actual travel times and arrival and departure locations (pdf). Tip: rent a bike (ov-fiets)!

Bring your own coffee mug

Utrecht University aims for zero waste, so please bring your own coffee mug to enjoy coffee and tea. At certain locations, you can purchase a reusable cup (Billie Cup) for €1.00 via card payment. Billie Cups are not exchangeable for money.

Limited capacity

At some sessions, the availability of seating is limited. Prospective students are given priority, while parents/guardians are welcome but may not be able to participate in every planned activity.

Tip: be prepared

To get the most out of the event, we recommend visiting the website(s) of the programmes you are interested in before the Open Day starts. In addition, have a look at these sample questions you can ask during the Open Days.
