Our campus

Utrecht University buildings are located in and around the city of Utrecht, including two university libraries. The three main locations are Utrecht Science Park, Utrecht city centre and International Campus Utrecht.

⚠The availability of student housing in Utrecht is limited and in high demand. As a student, you are responsible for arranging your own accommodation, and should take this into consideration when deciding to study in Utrecht. Please note that if you have not found housing before the start of the academic year, we advise you to reconsider your decision to study here. Utrecht Science Park

Most Utrecht University courses are delivered at Utrecht Science Park, which is is located just outside the city centre to the east, and only a short tram or bus ride away. Many students live on campus in accomodation including the colourful Casa Confetti building. Olympos sports centre is also located at Utrecht Science Park, in addition to a Spar convenience store, a number of cafés and restaurants and various specialist shops for buying study materials.

The university buildings were designed by famous architects to reflect the spirit of the university and the city. The UMC Utrecht teaching hospital, HU University of applied sciences and the University Botanical Gardens are also closedly located to university academic buildings and student accommodation. Utrecht Science Park is continuously growing, with a number of large organisations having relocated their offices to Utrecht Science Park in recent years. This also presents a wealth of internship opportunities for students.

Best study spot at Utrecht Science Park

The best place to study is the University library, an architectural highlight that opened in 2004. This is extremely popular with students, with many quiet study places located throughout the six floors of the large, modern building, which can be reserved online.

Heart of the city

Utrecht University language, law, economics, and business economics programmes are based in the city centre of Utrecht, a vibrant centre that offers numerous opportunities for sport, culture, shopping and other leisure activities!

Best study spot in the city centre

The university has many beautiful, old buildings across the city, the largest of which is the University Library in the city centre. A classical library, this historic building was the palace of Louis Napoleon in the nineteenth century. It has numerous lecture and study spaces that can be reached from the inner garden. The entrance is located at Drift 27.

Directions

International Campus Utrecht

At the International Campus Utrecht, you'll find the University College Utrecht (UCU) and the Utrecht University School of Economics (USE). This lively community is made up of both international and Dutch students, attend lectures for various programmes on campus. There are several study spots available in all the buildings.
