The central IT Service Desk is available to support users throughout the university with any kind of IT issue
There is a network of central and local IT assistance available at Utrecht University to provide help and advice whenever it is needed. Within individual faculties and departments, there is local IT staff on hand to provide immediate, practical assistance.
The central IT Service Desk is available to support users throughout the university with any kind of IT issue – from experiencing difficulty logging on to possibly losing files. You can contact the central desk in a variety of ways: by phone, email, a self-service portal, or one of the local ITS support desks. These are located at the two main Utrecht University libraries as well as at the UU for U, Student Services office at Utrecht Science Park.
Often, Service Desk staff can quickly guide users to simple solutions that resolve whatever the issue may be. However, we also have an expert team ready on stand-by that can fix more complex or technical problems on location.
What’s more, our support is not limited to the Windows platform or even our own equipment. Are you having trouble, for instance, accessing Wi-Fi on your own mobile device? Our support teams have up-to-date knowledge on all relevant operating systems, and will be happy to help solve your problem.
