Funding for researchers

Are you a researcher at Utrecht University working on a project for which you want to raise additional financial resources? As employee of the university you can apply for subsidy in the funding request portal. 

In short

1. Check the deadlines and which fund suits your application;
2. Make sure you meet the criteria for applying to your fund;
3. Submit your application during the period your fund is open via the funding request portal.

Funding programs

Employees are eligible for three types of applications (funding programmes): research visit applications, research & education applications and other funding requests. These different types are not all open in every application round, please check the overview of upcoming application rounds.

Keep in mind: named funds can have different criteria for the funding request, read the page of the named fund of your choice carefully and make sure the criteria are part of your request.

Fundraising advice

In addition to providing subsidies, the Utrecht University Fund can also help with fundraising other than through regular academic funding. For example, the fund can help by advising and submitting subsidy applications to other equity funds or by guiding fundraising at companies.
