Playground's mission is to enable students to take action, so that they can develop their good ideas and ensure that the resulting knowledge and value reach beyond the walls of the university. We help students and lecturers discover their potential and do something with it.
Matroesjka study
Sexual abuse within the family can leave deep scars. Not only on one person, but also on other family members, and often across multiple generations. The Matryoshka study by the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital (UMC Utrecht) aims to bring about change in this. In this study, we speak with adult children, their parents and grandparents, and the often-forgotten brothers and sisters. Their experiential knowledge is essential to understanding how intergenerational patterns arise.
Gaza students
This funding campaign was initiated on the occasion of the double inaugural lectures of Birgit M. Kaiser (Professor of Comparative Literature) and Kathrin Thiele (Professor of Gender, Culture & Ecologies). The donations provided financial support for the students who arrived at Utrecht University from Gaza/Palestine
