25 years of Faculty Club
For 25 years, the Faculty Club has been an inspiring meeting place with sparkling gastronomy, where lively social activities and substantive debates are organised and where the sun can be enjoyed in the hidden garden. This year, we celebrate 25 years of the Faculty Club together, under the theme "In the heart". Be welcome and let's celebrate!
About the lustrum
"What a special moment to be able to stand here and speak to you all at the start of our lustrum," chairman Ronald Bleys began his story during the kick-off on Thursday, 6 April. The theme of this lustrum year is "In the heart". The theme reflects what the club stands for, it shows that we are at the centre of Utrecht University and that we are in the heart of the city. Bleys: "For me as an anatomist, this theme is tailor-made, or perhaps better said, in the heart."
Lustrum activities
In the Faculty Club's lustrum year, various and extraordinary activities will be organised. For example, the Faculty Club will go on a trip and will organise an outdoor event together with University College Utrecht, there will also be the opportunity to talk to the club's architect, we will reveal our lustrum book and much more. Be welcome and let's celebrate!
From residential house to Faculty Club
Over the many years, the Faculty Club building has known many different owners and destinations. Did you know that it housed the police headquarters, complete with a jailer's house, cells and the subdistrict court? Then the former jailer's house became the accommodation of the beadles and the remaining rooms served as lecture rooms and examination rooms, especially for Theology, Law, Literature and Philosophy.

The Faculty Club bingo
Want to experience the lustrum to the fullest? Join the Faculty Club Bingo then. There are nine different challenges on the bingo card. You have to take a picture with the club manager, visit a lustrum activity, place the lustrum sticker on a special spot and dream about the future of the club together with the programme commission.
