The leading research questions include:
- How do Moroccan-Dutch mothers and fathers, participating in the parenting programme Shabab van Nu!, learn about parenting, understood from a perspective that takes into account the networked and collective nature of their learning?
- What are learning the outcomes of parents’ social learning processes identified with question 1?
- How do SvN-programme characteristics relate to parents’ learning processes and outcomes as described with question 1 and 2?
In this explorative study we use a nested sampling procedure and a variety of research instruments, including a pre- and post-programme survey and structured interviews, repeated semi-structured in-depth interviews, social network analysis and ethnographic data collection, including participatory observations and the use of participant-made visualisations.
