Data Science and Cohorts

In Utrecht, we have a large number of uniquely valuable datasets, specifically focused on cohort studies.

In all fields of research, large quantities of data are generated with great potential.  In order to tap into the potential of this data, it needs to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR). For other researchers, but increasingly also for data scientists probing multiple datasets for answers. In Utrecht, we have a large number of uniquely valuable datasets, specifically focused on cohort studies. Such datasets, often spanning a larger timespan, can prove invaluable for medical research. We strive towards integrated accessible data-infrastructure and collections. Our data scientists study the safe (privacy compliant) (re)use of data from large data collections related to (planetary) well-being, health, and care in order to perform research, innovation and implementation to address societal challenges.
