Young Faculty Associations

Three Young Faculty Associations (YFAs) represent the many young group leaders and faculty working at the Faculties of Science and Veterinary Medicine, the UMC Utrecht, and the Hubrecht Institute. The YFAs represent young faculty and group leaders in the Life Sciences programme board, organize onboarding activities, facilitate the sharing of practical knowledge and materials, and promote collaborations.

The YFAs organise shared activities, as well as independent activities, tailored to the different faculties and research institutes that make up Life Sciences in Utrecht:

• The Science for Life Young Investigator Forum (YIF) represents assistant and associate group leaders at the faculties of Science and Veterinary Sciences.
• The UMCU Young Academy represents assistant and associate professor level faculty at the UMC Utrecht.
• The Hubrecht Young Faculty Association represents junior group leaders and more senior group leaders (who still feel young enough to join the YFA) at the Hubrecht Institute
