The past decades have been characterised by rapid and diverse changes. For example, the rise of the Internet has a major impact on the availability of information and the way in which people communicate, the pace of technological development is leading to more and more tasks being automated, and globalisation, migration and changing geopolitical relationships are affecting the way in which global production processes are organised.These changes have far-reaching consequences for the society in which professionals operate, for the organisations in which professionals work, and for the nature of the tasks that professionals perform and what is required of them.
The multidisciplinary focusarea Professional Performance aims to understand and support the development of professions and professionals in this rapidly changing society through research and education. To this end, researchers, professionals, executives and other stakeholders from different backgrounds are brought together.
