Feedback and Adaptive Learning
This theme focuses on methods for giving students feedback on their progress in attaining learning goals and adapting learning material to the needs of individual students. On the lowest level, we work on systems that provide hints and feedback automatically in stepwise exercises. Second, we look at making learning material in general - for instance, traditional textbooks - more intelligent and personalised. Finally, we are interested in open student modelling, which aims at showing data of progress, mastery of knowledge, or other statistics of the activity of the student to herself.
