Dr. Reine van der Wal

Reine van der Wal is an Assistant Professor in Social and Organizational Psychology. She is fascinated by the power of social relationships. There is simply no way to live a long, healthy, and happy life without other people. In her research, teaching, and committee work she is therefore committed to the importance of stable and powerful social relationships.

In one of her current interdisciplinary projects, she investigates how parents and children together deal with a child’s chronic disease.

How do people protect and maintain valuable relationships in times of conflict or stress?
