Dr. Magdalena Harakalova

Magdalena Harakalova studied Medicine in Slovakia and moved to Utrecht to work on the genetics of human disease where she obtained her PhD in 2013. She was awarded a VENI grant in 2016 and a European Research Area (ERA-CVD) grant in 2019 to study the molecular basis of clinical variability in genetic heart disease. Magdalena is Assistant Professor of translational cardiovascular epigenomics at the Regenerative Medicine Utrecht (RMU) centre and Department of Cardiology of UMC Utrecht.
