Dr. Karin Jongsma

Dr. Karin Jongsma is an Associate Professor of Bioethics at the Julius Center of the University Medical Center Utrecht. She obtained her PhD in medical ethics at the Erasmus University Medical Centre in 2016. Her work focuses on the ethics of new technologies, particularly digital health and medical AI, as well as the ethics of patient and public involvement. Aside her research work she is active for various committees and advisory boards, including the Institutional Research Board of the University Medical Center Utrecht, member of VeRS (policy advice) and the chair of the Patient Advisory Board of iPSpine.
