Sanne Vergouwen

Sanne Vergouwen is working as a PhD candidate in the COSMO-MASTER project, focusing on the question of whether black hole spacetimes are spacetimes, a form of matter, neither, or both. She has published on the philosophy of supersymmetry, is a member of the ngEHT's governance task force, and is the main organiser of the UPAC colloquium. She has finished a Master’s in Theoretical Physics at the University of Amsterdam and a Master’s in History and Philosophy of Science at Utrecht University. For her theses, she looked at baby universes in the context of the black hole information problem, and at emergence in non-perturbative quantum field theory.
