Research in the strategic theme Dynamics of Youth is inspired by societal relevant issues. Researchers from all faculties of Utrecht University cooperate within Dynamics of Youth to integrate knowledge and open up new insights into the many factors that influence child development.
Communities
Our research is divided into four communities: Early Childhood, Thriving & Healthy Youth, Becoming Adults in a Changing World, and Youth Education & Life Skills. Within these communities all kinds of activities take place.

Early Childhood
Focus on early development from conception to approximately the age of four.

Thriving & Healthy Youth
Focus on promoting health and resilience in children and young people.

Becoming Adults in a Changing World
Focus on the transition from adolescence to young adulthood.

Youth Education & Life Skills
Focus on the broader role of education and learning, whereby children and young people not only acquire knowledge, but also skills to find their way in the adult world.
