After having defended their PhD theses, talented young researchers are welcomed and supported by Utrecht University.
Motivated and talented doctors who wish to apply for a VENI grant with the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) are offered special coaching tracks by our Research Support Offices (intranet).
Phace
The ‘PhD Activating Career Event’ (PhACE) is a two-day event, which aims to help PhD candidates who are nearing the end of their respective PhD programmes to think about their future careers.
Career Services for PhDs
Career Services for PhDs consists of individual coaching, workshops and online tests and instructional videos. All services are free of charge and all PhD-candidates are welcome, including those who have completed their PhD in the last 6 months. We believe that a healthy work-life balance, interpersonal skills and career orientation have a positive influence on productivity and well-being at work. PhDs work on these issues in coaching sessions and workshops. A good investment, because these skills can be used both in and outside of academia.
