Dr. ir. Niko Wanders

Niko Wanders is an Assistant Professor of Hydrology. In his work he focuses on hydrological extremes; how they affect society and how changes in the climate impact the occurrence of these extreme events. After obtaining his PhD at Utrecht University, he received a NWO Rubicon grant to continue his research at Princeton University. In 2017 he returned to Utrecht and was awarded a Veni grant.
