Dr. David Speksnijder

Dr. David Speksnijder is a veterinarian and researcher in the field of antimicrobial stewardship in animals. He is involved in several multi-disciplinary national and international research projects looking at effective ways to promote prudent use of antimicrobials in animals to curb the increasing global threat of antimicrobial resistance and active in the such called One Health area. Apart from his research activities, David works as ruminant veterinarian and teacher in the University Farm Animal Clinic.

How can we turn to sustainable livestock systems with a limited use of antimicrobials?

David Speksnijder has been a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, a bridge between young and talented researchers, since 2021.
