Get involved: employees
If you are looking for information on how to join us, you have come to the right place! At the Green Office, employees and students work together to help Utrecht University become more sustainable. Join us by becoming a volunteer or participating in UULabs.
Become a volunteer
There are opportunities to volunteer regularly or occasionally. You can join a project group, a Green Team or our one-off volunteer pool.
Join a project group
Currently, the Green Office has four project groups: the Thrift Shack, the Tiny Forest, the sustainable food group and the Repair Café. The project groups consist of students and employees. Click here for the current vacancies for the project groups.
No vacancies available? Reach out to email@example.com to let us know you are interested. We will keep you updated when new opportunities come up.
Join a Green Team
Green Teams are working groups in which students and employees collaborate to make their faculty more sustainable. Find an overview of the current Green Teams here. Are you interested in joining an existing Green Team? Reach out to your Green Team via the contact details.
Are you interested in starting a Green Team at your faculty? We would love to hear from you! Reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org
Join our one-off volunteer pool
Are you not interested in a permanent commitment, but are you willing to help with the occasional odd jobs at the Green Office?
Join our one-off volunteer pool. For example, we will reach out to ask you if you want to help cooking a zero-waste lunch or hosting a Thrift Shack pop-up event.
Participate in UULabs
Are you looking to work together with researchers, students, operational staff and/or partners on a sustainability challenge on campus? With UULabs, we aim to create sustainability-related testing grounds on campus in which we bring education, research and operations together. Researchers, operational staff, partners and lecturers are essential to the success of our living labs.
