Family is more important in determinging a woman's position than religion or income

The way families live has a crucial influence on inequality between women and men. This is the conclusion of dr. Sarah Carmichael and dr. Selin Dilli of Utrecht University on the basis of a global long-term analysis of various factors that determine the societal position of women.
