The David de Wied building will be the high-end meeting place where research meets: the Electron Microscopy Centre (EM) as a facility for the Faculties of Science, Geosciences, Veterinary Medicine and the UMCU.
New construction RIVM and CBG (on former lot Wentgebouw)
On the lot of the former Went building, the new building of the Ministry of Health, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (in Dutch RIVM) and the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) is realized. The Wentgebouw is durable demolished by Utrecht University.
Van Unnik building
The Willem C. van Unnik building, located in the central area of the Utrecht Science Park, consists of two parts: the high-rise and the low-rise. The low-rise is demolished in the first half of 2021. The high-rise remains and will be (re)developed as office and teaching space for the UU in the future. Both parts of the building have been vacant for some time.
