Trineke Palm: "We have to cherish the European Union"

On November 2nd, the Dutch Reformatorisch Dagblad reported on a meeting in Utrecht concerning the fundamental values of the European collaboration. Guest speakers at the event were Bert-Jan Ruissen (SGP lead candidate for the European Parliament elections) and Dr. Trineke Palm (History of International Relations).
Palm shared her thoughts on the role of christianity in the early years of the European Union. She argued that the European value communities are pressured because they are less and less stooled on religious views. Therefore, Palm sees the European collaboration as a chance to restore the community.
