Our students will answer all your questions!

Why are some countries rich and others poor? Why do people start their businesses? And how do we keep health care affordable? These are some of the questions addressed in the English-language programme Economics and Business Economics. In this programma, you combine economics with business economics. You examine and analyse current business issues from various societal perspectives: "the real-world perspective".

Broad view

In the programme you take a broad view of challenging economic issues: "the real-world perspective". This means that you not only work with abstract models and theories but also apply them in a context relevant to actual society. What are the needs and objectives of people and organisations in our complex society? What choices do they make in order to fulfil those needs and achieve those objectives? To find answers to these questions, we analyse economic issues using insights drawn from other fields such as Geography, Law, Social Sciences and Applied Data Science. You have the opportunity to design your own personal study programme as nearly 50 percent of the programme is made up of optional components. This results in a unique professional profile tailored to your wishes and interests.
