Campus Utrecht Science Park
Utrecht Science Park is Utrecht University’s largest campus and is located in the east of the city, between the A27 and A28 motorways. Utrecht Science Park covers an area of more than 300 hectares, of which approximately 260 are owned by the university. Utrecht Science Park houses the greater part of the university, but also the University Medical Center Utrecht, five faculties of the Hogeschool Utrecht, a number of research institutes and research companies, student accommodation, sports and recreation facilities, restaurants and shops.
An important step in the development of the area was the recent adoption of the Uithof Zoning Plan (2010), which will enable its further development as a vibrant and inspirational campus and as the main business site of the Utrecht Science Park that accommodates more than 75.000 people on working days.
