Your research in 3 minutes? Breaking Science is looking for participants!
It is a real challenge to explain something you have been unraveling for years in just 3 minutes. However, mastering the skill of pitching is very useful, for instance for obtaining personal grants. The pitch competition Breaking Science offers the opportunity to learn and improve this skill.
We would like to invite you to participate in Breaking Science 2023, the pitch competition for early career researchers (PhDs and postdocs). You will be trained in how to design your pitch, how to bring this to the stage and how to engage with the audience. Next, during one of the heats, you will compete with other contestants on a stage with a real audience.
A jury will assess all pitches based on content, clarity and charisma. Heat winners compete again in the final on May 31th, 2023. The winner of the final receives € 1500,- to be spent on attending conferences or summer schools.
