Outdoor Learning Spaces will be included in the Arboretum Park design

Bird-eye Arboretumpark - Deltavormgroep

The Utrecht Science Park (USP) is working on a green park that not only connects, but also enriches. This future Arboretum Park will soon form a green link between the USP buildings and the Botanical Gardens. By applying a new natural border, some of the fences can disappear, making this Arboretum part of a publicly accessible park.

There will also be places for Outdoor Learning Spaces in this park. These green learning environments make it easier for teachers to design and implement outdoor learning activities.

Future Learning Spaces is currently designing concepts of learning environments in green areas in collaboration with the Botanical Gardens, designers Sophie Krier and Henriette Waal, teachers and students that invite interaction, activating learning methods and collaborative learning.

In the course of 2024, a first Outdoor Learning Space will be realized in the Botanical garden based on these designs. This OLS will therefore be the first in a series that together form a natural outdoor learning route.
