More than two thousand Dutch scientists support climate strike in The Hague

The Consensus Statement by Scientists4Future NL, in which scientists express their support for the Climate Strike on 27 September 2019, has collected over two thousand signatures. The Utrecht Young Academy also signed the statement.

Through the statement, drafted in the Netherlands by 50 academics from all disciplines, scientists in the Netherlands state that the concerns of the climate strikers in The Hague are justified. The statement has collected many signatures from academics in Utrecht. After the Utrecht Young Academy was the first organisation to sign the statement, the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht and The Young Academy followed suit.
