Hajo Reijers appointed Professor of Business Process Management & Analytics as of 1 January

As of 1 January, Hajo Reijers will start as professor of Business Process Management & Analytics at the department of Information and Computing Sciences. His research and education is focused on business process management, data analytics and conceptual modeling. Reijers often collaborates with service organisations and healthcare organisations in his research. In addition to his research, Reijers has a great deal of experience in teaching and coaching students.

Reijers obtained his doctorate in 2002, after he had already gained experience in a number of different companies and functions. He is currently Professor of Business Informatics at VU University Amsterdam. Reijers starts in Utrecht with a research group with two employees from his current group, and expects to further expand this group with external financing. In addition, he will play an important role in the interdisciplinary collaboration within the UU, for example by contributing to the focus areas Applied Data Science, Professional Performance and the Big Data Complexity Center.
