Festive start of tram 22

Saturday 14 December was the festive start of the first ride of Tram 22. In the first tram ride Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen, Executive Board Chairman Anton Pijpers, Head of Campus Management Ruut van Rossen and Director of Stichting USP Jan Henk van der Velden drove from Utrecht Central Station to the Utrecht Science Park. After the first ride, everyone was welcome to try tram 22 for free.

Within 20 minutes at P+R Science Park
From Monday 16 December, the tram runs 22 ten times per hour in each direction with passengers. Soon the frequency will be increased to 12 times per hour and later even 16 times per hour. A ride from the stop Utrecht Centrumzijde to the final stop P+R Science Park takes about 19 minutes. The tram passes Station Vaartsche Rijn, Stadium Galgenwaard, De Kromme Rijn, Padualaan, Heidelberglaan, UMC and WKZ / Maxima. Checking in in the tram is not possible. You can do this at the yellow check-ins on the platforms.
