The Old Hortus at the University Museum Utrecht

Join for a picnic in the Old Hortus: the hidden garden of the University Museum. Between all the activities, enjoy a picnic in this hidden green oasis in the middle of the city. Find your spot in the garden or meet other alumni in the cosy festival tent on the lawn.

There is a picnic basket for adults and for children.

The adult picnic basket contains:

  • Pain de Mer bread from Spelt Bakery
    - Hummus I grilled vegetables
    - Beemster cheese I mustard spread
  • Bio+ yoghurt muesli in a weck jar with spoon
  • Currant bun
  • Mini Tony chocolonely
  • Flat water
  • Fruit juice

The picnic basket for kids contains: 

  • Sandwiches from Spelt bakery 
    - Twisted jam
    - Fair-trade sprinkles
  • Apple
  • Currant bun
  • Bag of crisps
  • Packet of apple juice
  • Small present

Sharing Days

Every year in June, the Sharing Days take place in Utrecht. This alumni event with festival vibes offers a jam-packed program with numerous activities in the fields of science, research, sports and culture. Spread across locations on the Science Park and in the lively city center of Utrecht, the Alumni Office facilitates workshops, tours, master classes and other festivities especially for all alumni of Utrecht University.
