A Night and Day of Music Business is an online event organised by Applied Musicology to connect people from the music business, performers and academics, to discuss the state of the music business and its current challenges. It takes place on Friday 22 Jan, 19:30–23:30 and Saturday 23 Jan, 10:00–15:00.

The event is also a great opportunity for young music professionals to connect and exchange ideas with experts from the music industry. This year’s edition of the Music Business Day, at UU, will discuss the sustainability of our community and individual careers, our ability to re-invent ourselves, and the potential for future markets – during and post COVID-19.

Programme

On the evening of Friday 22 January there will be a public hop-on hop-off event, filled with career workshops, panel discussions and performances. On Saturday 23 January there will be an invitation only event, exclusive to UU Musicology students and alumni, with roundtable conversations and presentations from music industry experts.
