Gerrieke Bouwman is a Visiting Researcher in (European) Public Procurement Law at the Centre for Public Procurement (UUCePP) of Utrecht University. Prior to this she was a phd candidate and defended (2022) her research about the externalisation of social care services and the different legal instruments public authorities have to organise these services.

 

Prior to this, she worked as a legal researcher at Utrecht University. In that function she conducted research and published about several subjects i.e:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Procurement Law
  • Social Value Procurement (involving citizens and taking into account social aspects in procurements)
  • (proportionality of) contractual requirements
  • Distribution of 'limited public rights'

 

Gerrieke Bouwman read law at Utrecht University and specialized in Construction Law by a Masterclass Construction Law of Utrecht University. In 2015 the Institute for construction law (Instituut voor Bouwrecht) awarded the second prize to her Master thesis: "screening of companies in Public Procurement Law on the basis of violation of Human Rights".
