Public sector organisations store and process vast amounts of data to serve citizens' interests. New AI and data science techniques such as process mining and data mining have a tremendous potential positive impact, provided they are applied in a safe, transparent, reliable and inclusive manner, and enjoy the public's trust. The AI Lab for Public Services connects Dutch public sector organisations with knowledge institutes, with the aim of optimising public services through effective and responsible use of AI and data science.
