The Oxford Handbook of Language Prosody

Boek The Oxford Handbook of Language Prosody

Last month, Oxford University Press published The Oxford Handbook of Language Prosody, edited by Carlos Gussenhoven (Radboud University and National Chiao Tung Universty, Taiwan) and Aoju Chen (Utrecht University). The prosody of language is about the parts of words and sentences that are not contained in vowels and consonants: the stress tones, the word tones, the rhythm, and the intonation. The book contains 49 chapters with contributions from 135 prominent authors. It is the first overview work to deal with these aspects in conjunction for languages from all over the world.
