Appreciate the talented, but overburdened scientist

A different way of working at the academy requires a new (common) culture and not other bureaucratic measurement systems. That is what the HRM Network Professors say.

They share the analysis and new directions from the position paper "room for everyone's talent". The scientist of 2019 must be a five-legged sheep that performs top research, provides education, directs and guides, collaborates with others and also generates social impact.

Main messages:

1. Beware of bureaucratisation in implementation (e.g. new metrics);

2. Importance of a culture change; does not happen automatically but through behavioral change;

3. Relevance of leadership.
