Special issue of International Journal of Bilingualism on receptive multilingualism

Utrecht linguist Dr Jan D. ten Thije is one of the guest editors of a special issue of the International Journal of Bilingualism, together with Jochen Rehbein (Ankara) and Anna Verschik (Tallinn).

The September issue of the International Journal of Bilingualism is entirely dedicated to receptive multilingualism. Receptive multilingualism is the phenomenon where two speakers have different mother tongues and still understand each other, for example with Danish and Swedish.
