Reimagining Security Minor - Student Assistant Position (2023-2024)

The Reimagining Security Minor seeks to hire a student assistant who can commit to approximately two hours a week* from 1st week in September 2023 until the 1st week of July 2024.

The primary responsibility of the student assistant will be supporting the coordinators of the Reimagining Security Minor with administrative and organizational matters. This will involve managing the Minor Blackboard site, helping organize events/ trips for the students, booking rooms where necessary, assisting with the marketing of the minor, and providing coordinators with different forms of administrative support. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, ability to work in a team, and an interest in both interdisciplinarity and in the themes explored in the minor: security, violence, human rights, international politics, and power.


  • You are currently enrolled as a student at any Dutch university, in a degree that is relevant to one of the themes addressed by the minor;

  • You are not enrolled in the minor in 2023/2024;

  • An excellent command of spoken and written English;

  • A professional attitude and behavior that includes reliability, a pro-active mindset, integrity, precision, good communication skills and collegiality;

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate independently;

  • Enthusiasm!
