Manon Kluijtmans appointed as professor

Manon Kluijtmans is appointed as professor ‘Education to connect science and professional practice’.

From December the 1th Manon will hold the chair ‘Education to connect science and professional practice’ at the Clinical Healthsciences. Her asssigment is about connecting theory and practice and way education can contribute.

At this moment Manon is director of the master Clinical Health Sciences and responsible for the masterprogrammes Nursing Sciences, Physiotherapy Sciences and Clinical Language, Speech and Hearing Sciences. This education is known for its stong connection between scientific research and the care sector in practice. She is also active as Academic Director of het Centre for Academic Teaching of the Utrecht University. The centre that has focus on teacherdevelopment, educational innovation and structural evaluation and research on academic teaching.

This appointment underlines again the importance the Utrecht University attaches to amplification of educational leadership and evidence-based teaching.
